This week at the Fox Hill School we are learning about how to take care of our teeth and eat healthy foods! The weather has been less than desirable here in New England so we decided to make an indoor gross motor game for the kids. I asked our resident artist, Ms. Amy, to work her magic and draw a great big toothy smile on a large piece of poster board. Her artwork is AWESOME so I had it laminated so we could keep it forever! Then we added some Velcro to each tooth. We attached the opposite side of the Velcro to some ping pong balls. We hung the game on the wall, gave the kids a bowl of sticky ping pong balls. We told them the object of the game was to throw the sticky ping pong balls at the smile and get them to stick on the teeth! We underestimated the popularity of the game. They love it so much we have had it out during activity time and free play all week. Very easy an inexpensive game to make yourself!
